Feinberg’s versatility and DJ style reflect more than two decades spent researching and performing music from around the world. Beginning with a high school radio show, his love of music and the art of DJing have led to countless performances and to destinations around the globe including London, Ibiza, Playa Del Carmen, Miami, New Orleans, Dallas, North Carolina, and around his current home in Southern California. He has shared the booth with a number of renowned musicians, producers, and DJ’s including Kenny Dope, Kevin Saunderson, Colette, Justin Martin, Mark Farina, Julie McKnight, Oscar P, Terry Hunter, 9th Wonder, Jojo Flores, Roy Davis Jr., Terrence Parker, Sonny Fodera, Nickodemus, DJ Ala, DJ Dan, Halo, Julius the Mad Thinker, Todd Terry, Mikeytown, Jose Marquez, Lars Behrenroth, Stacy Kidd, Sunshine Jones, Jask, and many more.
In addition to acting as Event Coordinator/Resident DJ of the award-winning Mosaic Lounge from 2006-2012 and then as its Owner 2012-2017, Steven has hosted a variety of recurring events over the years, including Escapism (Solas), Revolution (Lincoln Theatre), Rendezvous (Riviera), We All Love House (Aries/Mosaic), Descanso (Helios), Discoteque (Mosaic), Variations In House (Red Room), Passport (Mosaic), Flashback (Bogart’s), Sultry (Mosaic), Sun Is Shining Caribbean Night (Mosaic), Equinox (April & George), and many others. He also has acted as Co-Planner and Resident DJ at several annual festivals and conferences, including Duke University's “Across The Threshold” conference series, the Mosaic Spring and Fall Music Festivals, the “Mosaic in Miami” Events at Miami WMC, and as a resident DJ at the Mi Casa Music Holiday in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Currently, you can find him DJing around his home in San Diego as the Owner / Head DJ of the Southern California branch of Bunn DJ Company and on Dancegruv.net every 3rd Monday of the month at 5pm Pacific for his underground house music-based radio show, Gran Reserva Radio.
A classically-trained vocalist, Steven began his musical career in grade school with the Texas State Choir and St. Mark’s Choir, performing at locations around the Midwest and across Europe including Notre Dame (Paris), Mont San-Michel (Normandy), St. Paul's Cathedral (London), St. David's Cathedral (Wales), and Yorkminster Cathedral (York). While in college, he sang with the Wake Forest University Chorus alongside poet Maya Angelou during the live musical premier of her presidential inaugural poem, “On The Pulse of Morning.” After college, he spent extended amounts of time traveling and studying in and around the UK and Spain, including Barcelona, Ibiza, and Salamanca. His graduate studies led to in-depth research in ethnomusicology and music history at Duke University and related coursework at Oxford University and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Steven's exposure to so many diverse music genres contribute to his unique DJ style, which in addition to a wide variety of house, can include funk, samba, jazz, hip hop, nu disco, salsa, reggae, downtempo, cumbia, merengue, dancehall, Afrobeat, Arabic, and other genres.
